CA Plex Development Environment

CA Plex is a model based application generator capable of generating enterprise scale software for IBM iSeries, Java and Windows.  Prior to 2007 the product was known by several other names, AllFusionPlex, AdvantagePlex, Cool:Plex and was originally created as Obsydian by the Synon Corporation.

Once generated, applications operate using sophisticated middleware to provides scaleable performance for client server applications across multiple server tiers.

Desynit has used CA Plex many times to develop online applications.

The majority of the applications built by Desynit use technology from the WebsydianTM e-Business tool.  Websydian is a 3rd party addition to the base CA Plex toolset which consists of a set of pattern libraries to build online applications plus a powerful application server runtime to control scalability and performance.  Websydian supports regular web browser applications interacting with a range of web server technology and also supports XML data interchange in business to business scenarios.
