Out with the old and in with the new. If there is anyone who delivers on this, then it’s Salesforce. Not just once a year, but a whopping three times a year with their Spring, Summer and Winter feature release. And if, like me, the Salesforce Winter 2025 release feels like ancient history, and you are yearning for a little extra Salesforce spice, then you’re in the right place.
I’m Jenny Bamber, Head of Salesforce Success at Desynit Limited, a leading Bristol-based Salesforce Consultancy. I have spent some time with the Desynit team to find out what has got their hearts racing this Spring 2026 Release.
As a result, I invite you to forget about the January blues and spend some quality time learning about some great Salesforce updates. And just like your love language, with the Salesforce Spring 2026 Release, there is something in there that speaks to your heart, too.
Here are 3 key updates from the Salesforce Spring 2026 Release
If your love language is Acts of Service, then this one is for you.
Putting it simply, MuleSoft is the most popular integration platform, allowing businesses to connect applications, data, and devices across on-premise (so think software and or data on servers owned by your company) and cloud environments (so that’s your Salesforce). Phew, that’s about as techy as it gets.
I asked our MuleSoft expert, Dorian Sutton, why he believes it’s so popular. “Mulesoft is popular because it’s an incredibly powerful tool for building structured integrations and processes across wildly different systems and services, which make it a great fit for organisations that have a lot of legacy systems or microservices.”
MuleSoft just got a whole lot more efficient, and the MuleSoft team at Desynit are here for it. Believe it or not, our Developers have a secret love for Salesforce Flow (they just won’t admit it).
MuleSoft for Flow allows Salesforce admins and developers to trigger complex, multi-system integrations directly from Salesforce Flow Builder. Essentially, this new feature turns MuleSoft’s powerful APIs into simple Actions that you can drag and drop into a flow. Mind Blown!
So why do we love it? Well, just like Acts of Service, true love blossoms when something is done for you. Dorian, explain further,
It’s all about efficiency. “Mulesoft for Flow is an exciting development that makes the applications developed in the Anypoint Platform (MuleSoft) easily accessible from Salesforce, meaning that Admins and Developers can harness all the existing processes that their colleagues have developed in Mulesoft and not have to recreate them by building multiple outbound integrations and duplicating a lot of development effort.
Inefficiencies and skill gaps. The experience is not only efficient, but it’s low-code (due to existing Apex Actions) and reusable (as APIs can be used with different Salesforce Flows)! Anything that, when combined, can plug into and make integrations a little snazzier and more efficient, then it has a massive heart emoji from us.
Here is an example of where MuleSoft for Flows can come in handy. We already know that MuleSoft integrates with Jira, the project management tool, but with this new feature, your Salesforce Service process can be elevated.
Moving on…If your love language is Quality Time, then this one is for you, especially for the Sales and Marketing sweethearts.
First of all, there are lots of great updates to Salesforce Account Engagement in this release, from Advanced Multi-channel messaging, to Email testing in Sandbox and, my highlight, Unified Engagement History Dashboards.
Not only do I love a good visual, but this feature harnesses the power of Tableau Next, Salesforce’s newly branded and architected agentic analytics experience, to pull in data into your Salesforce. Yes, Tableau Next is a bit spenny but isn’t everything Salesforce-related? But still, the possibilities with this little combo are exciting.
The Engagement History dashboards give you a 360-degree view of how leads and contacts are interacting across all channels. You can see email opens, web visits, and even WhatsApp engagement in one unified visual timeline on the Lead or Contact record.
Working in the industry that I do, if someone asked me, would you prefer a red petal-laden bubble bath with a glass of fizz, or a 360-degree view of how leads and contacts are interacting across all channels?
Then of course I am going to pick the bath… But it would be a close call! Why? Because Sales love nothing more than being given the exact content they need to close deals faster. It’s all about the content guys!
In most companies, I’d guess that your data is often stuck in Account Engagement, while sales data stays in Salesforce. It doesn’t have to be the way.
You can say a big loud see ya to switching between apps to find engagement data and hello to alignment, that’s being able to look at the same source of truth.
You get Campaigns stats (which forms or emails are performing the best), Accounts stats (most active contacts and their interests), Opp stats (Marketing interactions and people attached to specific deals), and Lead stats(visual representation of ever touch), all in one dapper-looking dashboard. Ooh la laa.
Let’s look at Trends over time as an example. A Sales rep might have thought that an account was cold, but then they see that three contacts at that account were actually viewing a specific product’s landing page this week.
The result? A unified view across multiple contacts reveals an account-level interest that a single lead record would not be able to show.
That’s the power of Salesforce Dashboards.
We have entered feature number 3. This time, if your love language is Gift Giving, then I’ve got you.
I’ve already given a palpating review of one of Salesforce’s Flow updates above, but this one may just beat it. Have I saved the best for last? Let’s get Claire Wingate, our Salesforce Senior Admin, involved with this one.
I’m going to say it once, say goodbye to custom CSS hacks to those hideous default screens, you know the grey eye sore of any Salesforce demo! Why? Salesforce has released component-level styling for backgrounds, borders, and fonts, directly in Flow Builder. Pucker up, Salesforce tech team, as I am sure there are thousands of Flow users ready to kiss you for this one.
I know, I know, it ain’t no Mulesoft Integration feature, or hand rubbing insights in Account Engagement, but it still packs a punch in for the UEX.
What’s the first thing you do when you get Salesforce? You add your brand colours to it. So being able to extend this functionality to technical features like Screen Flows makes automation look as professional as the rest of your lighting pages.
“Being able to style Text, Number, and Date fields in Flow builder without the need for additional assistance with CSS is a game-changer for me. I’m already looking forward to showing branded automation Screens to our customers, it’s definitely going to drive user adoption.” – Claire Wingate
Salesforce Flow, you just keep on giving, and we love you for that!
